In development for US builders and contractors

Know the project history before you decide to bid.

BENNYs List is being built to put reviewed, firsthand homeowner working-relationship reports first, with address-matched repairs and project history as separate supporting context for US builders and contractors.

Practical perspective for the work behind the estimate.

The parts a plan can’t tell you

A scope tells you what. Experience can add the how.

A useful account leaves room for what is known, what is missing, and what may not apply to the next job. It helps you ask better questions; it does not make the bid decision for you.

01

Communication

How questions, decisions, and changes were handled along the way.

02

Payment

Whether timing and terms were clear from agreement through closeout.

03

Project expectations

How the scope was set, and what happened when the work changed.

04

Job-site interactions

The practical day-to-day details of working at the property.

The standard we’re working toward

Useful context depends on trust.

Information about a person deserves care. We’re shaping BENNYs List around access, firsthand experience, and a fair way to question information.

01

Access with care

The planned directory is for contractors. Homeowner-identifying history should stay out of public search and be available only through controlled access.

02

Firsthand project experience

Contributors should describe work they say they personally did. Individual accounts should be reviewed before they are shared with other contractors.

03

A way to raise a concern

People should have a clear path to flag information they believe is inaccurate. A request for review is not a promise of a particular outcome.
